I shall keep writing! Well, the truth is I will write regardless, I've always loved to journal. I just have to edit my thoughts a little more on here, but that's not a bad thing. Can't count the number of times I wanted to pull my sister's hair out for reading my diary!
Today, Abby was fascinated with the idea of babies in bellies. She has a baby in her belly. So does Daniel. Also Joseph. Even scarier, ME! (not true not true) We're not ready to go into detail about the subject with her, so we just told her to stop saying it. It's much easier to deal with the blank stares.
Daniel decided this afternoon that he was going to be a cuddle-bug. He's struggling just a bit with baby sister getting more of the lovies. This usually manifests itself with SCREAMS for attention. I try to carve out time in my day to wrestle/tickle/snuggle with my favorite son. Poor little guy!
A potty update: Now when we leave the house, I make sure Abby has a pull-up on. My thoughts are, if we are somewhere she can easily go, we'll go. If not, she's prepared. Well, today we were at a friend's house. Her son is potty training as well, and had an IDENTICAL potty to ours. She still wouldn't go. I am doomed.
With Olivia, there's just not much to report. She eats, she sleeps, she poops, she smiles, gurgles, and wails. Repeat repeat. Occasionally she might get a bath, or a certain someone's tiny finger gets dangerously close to poking her eye out, but other than that it's been pretty uneventful around here.
Do you ever get to criticizing and over-analyzing and getting welled up in selfishness? Yeah, that's really a dead-end street. Well, this evening I was thankful for a friend that turned my thoughts the other direction with a simple question:
"So, what would you do differently if it were up to you?"
(Hmm. I don't know. I just wanted to complain about it, I don't want to look for a solution or anything!)
I know it's random but I leave you with that thought. The next time you've got some whiner on your hands like me, it's a good way to curb the negativity and get things back on track. As for that little thing I was griping about- hopefully I'll deal with it in another post soon! And to that friend that helped point me in the right direction... you're a gem- thanks for caring.
